Therefore, proper care and storage are important: avoid contact with lotions, cosmetics, or perfumes, as these chemicals can accelerate tarnishing. And to ensure your gold-plated jewelry retains its radiant shine, remove your jewelry when exercising, cleaning, gardening, showering, bathing, or swimming in chlorinated or salt water.
