What could be better than getting creative during the Christmas season and making gifts yourself? We have a wonderful idea for you that is not only super easy but also brings a lot of joy: a homemade candle in one of our beautiful stoneware Cups!
Our stoneware Cups are absolute favorites and become a real eye-catcher with a candle. The best part? Once the candle has burned down, you can reuse the Cup in many ways – whether for your morning coffee, as decoration, or for small snacks. This DIY combines creativity, sustainability, and a big dose of love. Have lots of fun with it! ♥︎

This is how easily you make your own candle:
You need:
- One of our stoneware Cups of your choice
- Candle wax or wax leftovers in any form, about twice as much as fits in the Cup
- A wick
- A wick holder, pen, wooden stick, or skewers (to fix the wick)
- Melting pot or a bowl
- Optional: Essential oils for a pleasant scent

Instructions:
1. Gently melt the candle wax in a water bath. If you use wax leftovers, remove the old wicks beforehand.
2. While the wax melts, fix the new wick in the center of the Cup. It’s best to secure it with a wick holder or a wooden stick laid across the rim of the Cup.
3. Optional: Add a few drops of your favorite scent to the liquid wax.
4. Carefully pour the melted wax into the Cup and let it cool completely.
5. Then cut the wick to about 1 cm in length.

Why we love this idea:
Our candle DIY is not only incredibly versatile – you can customize the candles: with different colors, scents, or even dried flowers. It’s also a great gift that comes from the heart. And who wouldn’t be happy about a cozy candle in one of our favorite Cups?

We hope this DIY idea excites you as much as it does us! If you make your own candle, feel free to share a photo with us on Instagram and tag us @eulenschnitt. We are really looking forward to your creations!
Have fun crafting and a wonderful Christmas season!
