16. Türchen: Unser allerliebster Winterpunsch

16th Door: Our Most Beloved Winter Punch

When it gets cold outside and the days grow quieter, we enjoy little rituals that bring warmth and coziness to everyday life. A walk in the fresh air, a cozy gathering by the fireplace, or baking cookies together. How wonderful would a homemade winter punch be for that? Fruity, lightly spiced, and wonderfully fresh – our non-alcoholic winter punch is perfect for cozy afternoons, festive evenings, or a Christmas market moment at home. The best part: it’s very easy to prepare and tastes great for both young and old alike.

Ingredients for our non-alcoholic winter punch

For the berry base

  • 250–300 g mixed berries (fresh or frozen, e.g. raspberries, blackberries, currants)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 2–3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 3–4 tbsp agave syrup
  • 250 ml water

For the punch

  • 200 ml pomegranate juice
  • 200 ml homemade berry syrup
  • 200–300 ml ginger ale (depending on desired sweetness and fizz)
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slices and rosemary sprigs for decoration

Prepare the berry punch base

Put the mixed berries in a pot and bring to a boil. Slice the orange and add it along with the rosemary sprigs to the berries. Pour the agave syrup over, add the water, and stir briefly.

Let the mixture simmer gently over medium heat for about 5–10 minutes until the berries burst and an intensely fragrant syrup forms. Then strain the mixture through a fine sieve, collect the juice, and let it cool slightly.

Mix the Eulenschnitt winter punch

Put about 3–4 tablespoons of the berry syrup into each glass – you can add a bit more depending on your taste. Top up with pomegranate juice and then add ginger ale for a fresh, sparkling note. Optionally, you can add a large ice cube before decorating the punch with ice cubes from your beloved mold, an orange slice, and a small rosemary sprig.

Serve & enjoy

Our non-alcoholic winter punch is the perfect companion for cozy Sundays, festive dinners, Advent afternoons, or small celebrations with friends and family. Fruity, warmly spiced, and at the same time wonderfully fresh – a drink that simply brings good winter cheer.

We wish you lots of joy in preparing and enjoying it. ♥︎
